QLD Bulk Terminals Upgrades and Installations, Port of Brisbane

Qld Bulk Terminals Berth has the capability to load bulk grain and bulk liquid vessels, with an annual export capacity in excess of 800,000 mt p.a. QBT has on-site storage for 10,500 mt of liquid storage utilising 10 individual tanks ranging in size from 530 mt to 1500 mt.

Scope:

• Manufactured and installed a new gantry and shed

• Molasses ship load in, storage and truck load out, including pipework and pumps with multiple truck loadout gantry arms

• Propylene glycol pipework, pump and truck load out gantry

• Nitrogen tank blanketing project including nitrogen generator installation, pipework and tank connection

• Various structural steel platforms and access stair designs, fabrication and installation

• Ongoing maintenance support

Challenges:

Successfully managed intricate tasks in challenging environments, including with liquids under strict health controls.

Strict adherence to Australian and international standards, with all work tailored to meet exact client specifications.
